I made a few guitar picks for my cousins son. The big pick is made of Brazilian Agate and is about 2-1/4" x 3". The 2 "regular" size picks are made of Mooakite Jasper. There is also a 3mm garnet set into the amp for an "on/off" light. The 3 knobs on the amp are made from black seed beads put onto common pins cut to about 3/16" long. If you look closely you cans see a set of earphones hanging on the "musical note". The guitar and earphones have electrical chords going between them and the amp and are made of very thin steel wire that I coiled. Guitar strings are made of 2lb test fishing line. The little "hanger" sticking through the hole in the big pick is made from the end of an actual guitar string. It was quite a project and unlike anything I've ever tried before. I tried to do all of the soldering with an oxy/acet torch but through the years I've lost my "touch" in working with soft solder so I had to do 3 joints with a soldering iron! GRRRRRRRRR!!(hell to get old) All of the picks were done in my Lot-O-Tumbler which is a vibe unit. connrock

What a complex original and beautiful creation! I like all the details all over, but the details in the amplifier are incredible. Just look at that cute handle!
The guitar is made of copper wire, right? And the base also looks copper. I like the way you hammered it and then polished it.

Thank you everyone for such kind words! I don't post much of my work here but know that there are a few people out there who are interested in making guitar picks so I thought I would post this project for them.
This little project can't hold a candle to some of the work I see here! I am truly awed by some of the projects and work I see here!I know how hard it is to achieve these beautiful works of art and I applaud you all for it.
Thanks again,,,

Great Tom,
The displays are the finishing touch
This may be a stupid question but Is there any sound difference in a plastic or stone pick ?

John and Roy,,, Thanks,,, The rock picks are said to give a better tone and don't flex as much as plastic picks John.

Thanks Randy,,,, My neighbor who is a Combat Field Medic in the Army and will be deployed to Afghanistan by end of the month asked me to make her something similar but with a Medic motif! I'll have to think on that one a while! LOL

Susan,,, Thanks,,, I brought the pick over to my cousins home last night and he,his mom and dad loved them! My cousins son (Jay) is in the midst of recording a new CD and when he tried the Mooakite picks he went nuts with the difference in the sound and action compared to a plastic pick. He also went bonkers over the little display which made me feel great!
