All my life I tried to collect everything.Except the dead president pics.Anyway, could barely walk in my shop so did a little sraightening up.Rocks are beginning to eat into the space I had everything else in.Thought I would show pics before this part gets messed up again. My Grandpa's whiskey still is in this pic.He fired it up in the '20s. Here is what he put his shine in. Buckets of tumbling pieces Finally put out my marbles where I could see them. Haven't lost em all yet I probably showed my soda bottle collection before, about 300 different bottles Any bring back memories? Thanks for looking, snuffy

WOW!!! At least you are a neat hoarder:)!!! I wish I had 1/2 the space I see there to put my hoarding in:). Also, anyone who likes marbles is a cool guy to me:).
But it's fun looking at your collections, and I totally understand why you keep it all! Have you thought about using the still to make essential plant oils?

Easiest way to figure it out is to flip a coin...If it comes back down you are a collector..... ;D

Essential plant oils? No, but whiskey has crossed his mind. ;D Nice collection Snuff. I've collected all my life as well but every few years I go through all my stuff and get rid of about half. Remember last time you were here? Curt

Man, very cool Snuffy! *L* Is that m grand daddy's still I see?*L* You really need to move now and then like I did. I sold off my bottle collection, my military rifle collection, my bayonets. Most my books,. most my insulators and a lot of my rocks. Sold the antique weapons last year. Otherwise I'd of been about as piled with goodies as you are *L*. Got to admit, I miss my junk but at least I can now move around the house and shop. Never got into marbles other than a few old ones I found while metal detecting or diggin bottles but those look cool in those bins *L*......Mel

just remember, the only thing separating collectors from hoarders is organization.

I think the difference between hoarding and collecting is purely based upon income. If you have money, you are a collector; if you are broke you are a hoarder. I realized this dichotomy years ago when the neighbors stopped calling me wierd (when I was broke) and started calling me eccentric (when I wasn't quite as broke).
Either way you are enjoying yourself.

I love the bottles, very cool. My rocks looked like yours so I made a rock garden. Now my garage is much cleaner and I can see all of my rocks at once every time I walk past them, and I can brighten them up with a garden hose when I show them off to my friends.

Looks like very cool collections to me! If you need someone to hold those rocks for you, you can send them to my house. (More than likely they will come back cut and polished.)

Wonderful collections. In my opinion, you are a collector as long as you can afford it, it's (reasonably) neat, and there is no health/safety hazard. I've met a few hoarders over the years, and you're not even close. One guy finally had 11 tons of newspaper removed from his house. I'm not kidding. They weighed it!
