Well rock hounds the 2nd running of the RTH Killer Cab contest is underway with Krystee running a beautiful Velvet Obsidian takeing a substantial lead out of the starting gate. Way to go Krystee. I see a couple of nw entrants in the field today Dandy slabs running some beautiful and uncommon Orbicular Vericite and we also have another new entrant Helen who also happens to be a nube though my stats show she has already clocked over 700 posts here at RTH since January. Boy that philly likes to talk but she also like to cab. Her very picturesque Burro Creek is giving Krystee a reason to look over her shoulder. In addition to Kurt who is running an unusual Dendretic Opal we have Don on some beautiful Utah Jaspar with Cathy's picture japar running neck and neck wit Kurt and Dandyslabs picking up the rear.
And finally we have Stoner on Thunder Egg running Neck and neck with Unclestu's Deshutes/Biggs jaspar as everyone is jockying for position in the first of seven days of excitement here at Bedrock Downes. As you all may recall Unclestu a nube out of NJ won last months RTH KCC with his Agua Nueva free forrm. For all of those interested autographed pictures of that cab are on sale at the clubhouse LOL

Ahhhh! Stu, you are too funny:). I can 'hear' you barking that in an auction voice:P. hehe.
I think that in every contest, we see some stupendous eye candy stones that make everyone drool... it's ALWAYS hard to decide, or even comment, because at least for me, I'm going down the line going... OOH! I love that! Oooh... I love that too! Ooooooh... That ones' REALLY great all the way down the line to the last entry! And of course, every single cab is in the contest because the entrant thought it was worth entering... so of COURSE it's great!!!
Every single cab is gorgeous (as ALWAYS), and I had real trouble deciding, just because there's something different I LOVE about each one, and would be incredibly proud to own/wear/make any of them!

Hard choice but I went with shape,color,shine,dome, and photography and came up with what I consider a winner.

Awe thanks guys, just noticed the poll was locked last night! Btw, I blame this win on Roy, everyone knows I can't resist working killer ob material and Roy sent me the most beautiful Mex Velvet! The material speaks for itself, I just helped it along a little bit SUPER great contest and gotta say.... my vote was really hard to decide on.... I narrowed my vote painstakingly down to a couple, and neither were mine! Thanks Don for doing this contest! I love the talent in this contest and subtle things give me clues on what I need to work harder on next time! Always try to learn a little every day!!! |

Oh Krystee, you totally deserve the win!!! That cab is BEAUTIFUL!!! Getting one of your cabs was a real eye opener for me, now I know what standard to shoot for when making a cab! Your work is awesome, your sense of joy and lovely spirit come through in every post too, it's a pleasure to lose to you:). Congratulations, you totally deserved this:).
