Howdy folks, Well, the bluebonnets are in full swing now and we have about a half acre of them in the yard ( inside the deer fence of course cause the deer eat them). Here are a couple of pics. My sidewalk is buried in there somewhere *L*.....Mel Closer look. We called them lupines back in California but here they are bluebonnets.

Yup Frog, they are lupines, Lupinus texensis

Thanks! I'm still walking in 2ft of snow, -17 this morning. Bad case of cabin fever setting in. Now its full blown after seeing those beauts that are as thick as a carpet. (just kiddin)Very nice Mel, thanks for posting.

so pretty... Our grass isn't even green yet due to lack of snow I don't think we even had 8 inches this year usually we still have snow and lot's of it just hope we get rain soon it's been in the forcast but keep changing. we have had feild on fire just about every day for the last week

Man, we're going to have a great wildflower year here in the hill country. 10.3 inches of rain since January first. Had a tornado super cell come through a few days ago. No funnel touchdown but 4.5 inches of rain in one night. Plants are just shooting out of the ground. Had to totally re cut the trails for our big ride this weekend though as a lot of trees went down across the canyon trails. Still the rain is much appreciated after all our drought..Mel

That's lovely! Our bulb plants are up and fruit trees are flowering and leafing out. Next is the fruit. Thanks for sharing...
