You're totally awesome Chris! I feel the same way Hey Guys, I'm leaving tomorrow morning for Rochester to have knee surgery. I will be away from home until the 18th, but hopefully still responding to messages and such as I'll have my computer. Hub has the next address and will be sending that soon. Can't wait to see! Ha haa, no actually this is my ninth leg surgery. I have a degenerative bone disease called Avascular Necrosis, it was caused by some of the chemotherapy I underwent when I had leukemia. This April I'll be five years cancer free, and hopefully done with joint surgeries for a long, long time.

sounds more like a condition than a disease......so the chemo wiped out the blood vessels near the ends of your knee bones and the surgery removes the bone that's dying from no blood circulation?......whats cool is that you are free from cancer !!.....i think i would gladly trade knees for being alive and otherwise healthy !!.....hope all goes well !!....sounds like you are quite a trooper !!

Yup, that's the basis of the disease. I think the AVN has been more difficult than the cancer and chemo, but yes, being alive is good Krista

Hope all goes well for you. I was six years out of breast cancer in Oct. but with breast cancer you have to spend five years on a daily rx. after my five years, last January, I still have the side effects of joint pain, very bad joint pain. I know all about residual health concerns. Good luck.

Hoping the best for you, Krista. I don't know how old you are, but you look pretty young to be going through so, so much. Bless your heart and congrats on being a cancer survivor. ;D

Sheri! Did you change your name on RTH? I hadn't noticed! How about posting some pictures of what Hub sent you? We'd all love to see them I'll check in with Cathy to see if she's ready Thank you everyone for the well wishes, surgery went very well, recovery is difficult but it's what was expected, and I'm spending more time sleeping than I'm used to. Sometimes I'll just wake up, wherever I had been sitting I'll have fallen asleep and all the sudden I wake up and don't remember even closing my eyes! Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great holiday season so far, I'm doing Christmas early with my family on Monday so I'm really excited, since I'm still laid up I get to enjoy all the Christmas festivities without having to help cook, clean or do any of the work!!! Ha ha ha the silver lining right? Krista

Hey everyone! Sooooo please post pictures of the wraps and cabs you receive. Half the fun of roaming wire is _seeing_ what everyone else gets! Also, please post the pictures in the roaming wire thread. Here's the wrap Hub sent to Sheri! Isn't it great?! Krista

Hello ALL! The box arrived here safe and sound late last week. I did take pictures but have been remiss in posting as I was invaded by red rocks, dogs and kids for my birthday. Now that the dust has settled, here is the how the Roaming Wire Box arrived to me. Group shot Sheri's gorgeous pendant (Thank you Sheri!!! It is a beauty!!!!!) What I am taking out... The piece I chose to wrap... The Grand dogs that have been visiting.... The pile of dogs, minus the black lab laying at my feet while I was taking this photo.... And that's been the week so far! The wrap is done and I am awaiting the next address. :-) I'm going to leave the photos of what I added to the next recipient. Hope all of you are having a great week. Time to go shovel the snow here. Cathy
