Hurray! Let's get those others some CA stuff! Nice going fitting all that stuff in! Your agate in opal looks just like my dried cranberry rock, only yours are more like plum sized! And Larry says he's never seen any of that. Maybe we should all chip in and get him some new glasses? lol. Thanks for the great pictures! (maybe you want to take out the last pic or blur Zach's address though?)

Shoot! Duh! Thanks for pointing that out, Susan! The agate/opal rock was found in the wash on the way into LCC, not in LCC proper. It was one of the more interesting pieces that we hauled out the wash. The agate pieces are reddish/brown and about the size of grapes. Actually, I think Andrew found it. He's closer to the ground and tends to see/find a lot more. And we also haul out a lot of leaverite... Actually, folks, I forgot to mention - I didn't get that all into a MFR box. I used a LFR box. What does that mean? It means everyone is going to have to start taking more out of the box until it fits back into a MFR! Hope using a LFR box doesn't violate any traveling rock box rules or anything! Actually, if Zach or the next person takes out the LCC chunks, I think it'll all fit back in a MFR. It was the bigger uncut rocks that forced me to move up a box size. Dang it, I just realized that I didn't get a photo of the box just before sealing it. Sorry!

How did you only take 14 slabettes and then fit all the stuff you put into the box? I still need to get my pictures up, I'll do that this weekend. I didn't take pics of all the slabettes I put in to fill up the box but I see you took a few.

I guess I started this trend of not taking much out and I apologize for that. It is not that I did not want more things, I just wanted the others to have more. But I think it shows a lot about the people on RTH. It is difficult to have a give and take box on a forum made up of all givers. lol I promise that if the box ever comes around again I will take more out and not feel the least bit guilty about it. hahaha I just hope we do not get to the point of needing a pallet and fork lift because I doubt that the Salvation Army accepts rock donations.
ALL OF YOU ARE AWESOME and I am happy to be able to call you friends. Jim

Hey Tony - actually, I didn't! I had to switch to a LFR box. Those little slabettes you put in were really interesting. As you noticed the boys took several (and I took a few as well).
Zach - yeah, unload it! It's really heavy!
Alisha - Nathaniel was helping me all the way, pulling things out and checking everything that came out of the box. He had a great time.
THANKS to all of you for this, the boys and I had a lot of fun and THANK YOU for letting the boys jump in!
You're a generous and gracious guy, Jim!
RTH'ers are a great bunch!

Glad it made it in, Zach. Actually, I guess it made it in pretty good time as I mailed it Friday evening about 5:30 PM. I didn't think it would get to you until at least Wednesday. Hopefully, it's intact. I picked up a box of cutting sized obsidian from the Hand-2-Mouth guys and the box was mangled and holed. Fortunately, Kris puts the obsidian in a bag so nothing was lost.
Looking forward to your pics and what you put in! Paul

WELLL... Ulstergeki said that he'd make the box smaller by putting in smaller things... so I'm looking forward to smaller things!!! So far, we've been getting bigger and bigger, so it will be neat to see it get smaller:)!
And I find myself constantly clicking on this link to see if anyone posted any new pix... but feeling like I'm nagging if I say anything:P. But what the heck... PIX !!! PIX!@!!!! MO PIX!!!!!!!! LOL! \

Haha, I didnt forget, had a ton of stuff these last couple of days, and we got some pictures taken, and the box is now a medium rate box again! okay This is the picture of the HUGE box we unloaded and starting to sort through Here is what we ended up putting into the box: The opal i put in is precious, i believe it is from nevada, but i could be wrong, i know the limb cast is from nevada, its non-precious though. the small opal cabs have some decent fire in them, i thought someone could use them. My wife included some Bails, both glue on and pinch, along with some brass bezel pieces. and some other points. I also included a piece of amber, hopefully someone can do something nice with it. I wanted to include a 2" block of jade but ran out of room. if anyone needs it message me Here is what I ended up taking from the box, i loved soo much, but i restrained myself! And this is what my wife ended up taking: i didnt get a picture of the bulging box but i will try to get one tomorrow before we drop it off at the post!
