Most slab grabbers are made to be clamped into a movable vice. If the vice has cross feed you don't have to reposition the slab grabber for each cut. Bolted directly to a movable tile saw table, you'd only be able to make one cut. A way around that would be to take the saw table to a machine shop and have them mill slotted bolt holes. You'd have to loosen the bolts holding the slab grabber after each cut and move it towards the blade the desired amount for the next cut.

Frank, those two long bolts you are looking at are for adjusting the slabgrabber for a larger or smaller rock. I just happen to have the slabgrabber in upside down instead of sideways. It was the only way I could get it into the vise.

Ah, I see now! I would need a vise or have to do some custom work.
Thanks for clearing that up - seems obvious now but I just wasn't getting the whole picture - now I do!

Hey, Tony, did you ever make a smaller slab grabber? I'd be interested!

Awesome Tony, I'm definitely going to get one. You have 3 sizes, and I am going to have a 12" saw. Would I want a med. or a small?

Great. I don't like having only 1 small grabber. This is good news.

All the parts are cut but they are still milling the holes. Welding doesn't take too long after they all get milled. I can't really push them because to keep the cost down they are doing it afterhours or when they have some spare time.

I have spoken to Donnie about buying her big one so all of ya'll need to get that right out of your head about snatching up hers. I wouldn't want to have to pay you a visit in the middle of the night. lol I have a Lortone with a vertical vice but I am sure it will still work just fine. Jim
