Ok, I took spme photos of the latest slab bucket.
Here is Birdseye Serpentine, Firecracker Obsidian, Stary Night Obsidian, and Hidden Valley Picture Jasper. Also some Stone Canyon end cuts. (The firecracker is not the best starbursts this material has to offer.)
Here is Mushroom Jasper. I have been waiting a long time for a piece with good read and good mushrooms and not too much sugar-quartz. A little small - but nice.
Here is A green rock I forget the name of. I don;t think it is a pure agate or jasper. I remember rockman69 called it some other mineral - but it is hard, at least a 5.5 - 6.0. Also Some Oolitic chert from State College PA, and an un-named scenic jasper from Oregon that has been selling on ebay lately. It reminds me a little of Klidiscope, but this is not. Much harder and solid. Tends a bit too much to yellow, but plenty of nicel color.
The oolitic chere is nice, but you have to be pretty close to appreciate it. I like the little oolites floating in blue/gray chert - especially the ones with single or double outlines.
Last up is some Apache Sage Rhyolity I got from RiverbendLapidiary. It is a little dark red cast overall, and I am photographing dry. WHen wet there is not enough contrast to show the pattern, and the blue goes away. I wish there was more contrast, but I thnk it will polish up ok.
I think I might try to cut some stones that exploit the v-shape.

I got a MFRB of the birdseye serpentine, and a bunch of the other green rock. More than I need really. I also have a bucket full of th eoolite, but it varies in quality. I will just cut a piece now and then. I think I have another piece of mushroom jasper I bought at the same time, and there are lots of slabs of starry night obsidian left to cut.
