Keep your eye on Waukesha , Wisconsin ......Their biggest employer just moved out. General Electric is planning to move its 115-year-old X-ray division from Waukesha , Wis. , to Beijing . In addition to moving the headquarters, the company will invest $2 billion in China and train more than 65 engineers and create six research centers. This is the same GE that made $5.1 billion in the United States last year, but paid no taxes - the same company that employs more people overseas than it does in the United States . So let me get this straight. President Obama appointed GE Chairman Jeff Immelt to head his commission on job creation (job czar). Immelt is supposed to help create jobs. I guess the President forgot to tell him in which country he was supposed to be creating those jobs. Thanks Jeff, you're a "real" American....give Barrack our Best! If this doesn't show you the total lack of leadership of this President, I don't know what does. Please pass this information to others and think about it before you buy a GE product. For Snopes verification of this information, go to: >> www.snopes.com/politics/business/ge.asp Check it out on Snopes. I did. Curt

Ahah! So ya found Snopes, huh? And all on your own, eh? You internet search wizard, you!!
So riddle me this, Batman:
How many people work for GE in WI?
And how many of those jobs did GE move to China in the last year?
Bonus question – who outnumbers who . . . Chinamen in China or grasshoppers in Texas? ;D

The real question is........ How many jobs were lost by GE moving to China. How many people are employed by GE in the U.S. ? How much taxes did GE pay?
You are on big business for not paying their fair share all the time. So now all of a sudden it's OK because Obama said so?
Pure Liberal. Flippty flop flipity flop

Since when did you or the rest of PlanetTeabag give a flyin’ fig about that?

Um... it says on YOUR snopes link that 4... FOUR executives were going to China to do this, and that "GE doesn't expect any job losses in the US" and they only had 120 people working in that X-ray division to begin with.
Now we have spent 2 decades paying the Chinese to make things that WE BUY, and THEY profit. And now, we are going to have a sales branch there to sell them GE products both made there and here, that THEY will buy and WE profit... are you saying that we should not try to SELL them things Made in America to get some of our foreign trade imbalance back?
Weren't you complaining about the Chinese contractors in Texas? And now complaining about US companies in China to sell to the Chinese?? Which one is bad for US?

Rich, I've always thought Corporations should have to pay taxes. I've also said that if they don't pay any legally, good for them, I do the same. Change the stupid laws, don't bitch about corps not paying anything.

I mean, come on. Of course a right winger is gonna jab back. Oh, and for your info, I'm not a "rfascist". I'm an independant with a brain.

We'd love to change the laws. Unfortunately there's too many idiots who are going to vote for Romney who endanger that hope. OK, I'm just an old redneck Conservative so you're going to have to explain it to me. The Democrats had the President, the House, and the Senate for 2 years. As far as I know, not one tax law was changed. So tell me again how the Dems are going to change the tax laws. They tell you what you want to hear and you fall for it every time. Curt

You want brilliant, Jake? Find the idiot that put Michele Bachmann on the House Intelligence Committee. ;D Almost as brilliant as Hillary Clinton and Eric Holder, isn't it ? And we all know who put them in their positions of power. Oh, and how about that Vice POTUS ? Now that was a real winner, wasn't it.

Hillary Clinton IS brilliant. You are talking about the FIRST female commencement speaker at Wellesley, one of the FIRST female graduate of Yale Law School.
If I had to name the single smartest woman on planet earth today, it would be Hillary Clinton. She's far smarter than Bill, and Bill's pretty smart. I cannot think of a woman with more raw intellect and drive than her, it has nothing to do with politics whatsoever, she AWES me with her intellect. Comparing Hillary Clinton to Barbara Bachmann is comparing a monkey to a rocket scientist.
Holder, couldn't say. He was appointed by Ronald Reagan to be a Superior Court Judge in Washington DC, and was George Bush's Acting Attorney General until the Senate confirmed John Ashcroft. But he sure does manage to get himself in trouble.
Maybe he's stupid, dunno, but he's no Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton is so brilliant that she would sell our independence to the U.N.
Holder is so brilliant that he wants to legalize everyone who is not qualified to vote in the U.S., and give them the right.
Oh, and that's Michelle Bachman, Not Barbara Bachman. You must be thinking of that brilliant California Stateswoman Barbara Boxer.
