I have been reading this thread on gravity feed with great interest, I have two 10-inch saws that I would like to add gravity feed to. Are there any pictures so I can get an idea of how to add this feature? It is a really simple setup, you will need some thin multi strand cable from a fishing tackle shop, enough to go from the carriage in the saw, out the back of the saw and down a bit under the saw. You will also need some way of making a small loop at either end of the cable to attach it to the saw carriage and weight. You will need a pulley possibly a sash rope pulley from an old sash window. For the weight a small plastic honey bucket or similar, just put pebbles in it until you have the right weight. Attach the cable to your carriage. drill a small hole in the back of your tank, watch where you put this, keep it away from the spray area where the saw throws oil up, you might find it helpful to squeeze a bit of plastic tube in the hole first then feed your cable through the tube. Line up the cable from inside the tank with the pulley at the back, the pulley can be attached to the tank at the back, run the cable down and attach your weight, done. I have always been a fan of weight feeds, they are simple and they work well. You don't get blades jamming because the feed is pushing at the same speed whether it's a tough agate or a soft bit of marble, An Agate cuts slow, a soft stone cuts fast, simple.

DOCROCZ! Tile saw? What is the blade diam? Is it like a TARGET 10" or the smaller 4"-7 1/4" size? The masonry saws that utilize the rolling table are easy to convert. What do you plan to use to hold the rock once your auto feed is in? AT any rate, I plan to post this link for goodies that make fabrication and modification more DOABLE! Click, once there, check out "Motors" heck check out everything. There is alot of wacky stuff, but I have bought a number of things from them, and they have good quality surplus items, and money back as well. GREAT resource. www.sciplus.com/category.cfm/subsection/18give some spec on the tile saw, or p.m. me if you want to make the saw do your bidding. - SciPlus is in 2022 still a hood source of things that you do need in your life. Recommend them 10 of 10.

I’ve been thinking this is not correct information because mine doesn’t seem to drop and especially from the plastic liner ring the rope hangs on I the back of the saw. I think I’m gonna rig a pulley from the back of the saw for my weights to hang from. It’s frustrating having a saw or plural in my case saws down due to simple parts failure due to the machines age.
