A friend of mine grows bamboo near Santa Cruz, CS and he has a big sign lying flat on his property that saye BAMBOO. It minimizes the helicopter's hovering about. Bob

thats pretty cool that the pandas sampled your bamboo. You got yourself some nice groves going on there. I like how you put them along the creek.

They told me it will not cross the creek.They were right.It made good boundry split Brad.

bamboo never reproduces by seed dispersal? Only by rhizome?

Normally it sets seed only every 60-120 years.And when it does,all the canes of that species die.World wide.I have had 2 varieties go to seed and ended up burning the dead grove(lawn).But if you have seed it is easy to germinate like most large seeds are. So Mr Scott,seed ain't easy to come by.And that is for most of the families of bamboo.It rarely seeds.
