Looks great! I'll bet you will grow some big 'maters in that! I was in the greenhouse biz for some years, just curious as to how you are going to vent and shade. I have been thinking about putting one up myself.

You may be fine then.Fan and/or ventilation may still be needed.Reflected radiation can still generate a lot of heat.It is uncanny how they turn into ovens.

I'll be sure to install ventilation, I appreciate all info especially since I'm new to this. Plants are my wife's new hobby but I'm trying to help out any way I can. Thanks!! I'll post updates and pics.

Try to get panels that you can remove on the ends.Leave them off from about now till cold comes around.I would cover the roof and the long walls and wait to cover the ends.Leave em open atleast thru the summer to make sure you do not have a plant killing oven. Some plants eat heat up-most do not. Always remember greenhouse has a long bug and fungus season so the open ends is great ventilation

get her a vanilla orchid to put in there. It is a real weed but very fun to have in a greenhouse.

Snuffy- I just used regular ol white pine. At less than $3 per stub I figured what the heck. After it turns into dust I might build a slightly bigger one with some PT and plexiglas. I decided to go ahead with the 6mil poly sheeting for now. It'll be ok until the next hurricane ;D

Greenhouse plastic can be rated for 1-5 years in 4-6 mil thickness.Good 6 mil are 3 layers of 2 mil.Layer for damaging radiation, drip resistance,UV inhibitors. Most building/home depot stuff breaks down fast-sun is hell.
