Cool it worked, was hoping the pics weren't a mile wide like last time. Pretty cool rock but I was hoping for darker green judging by the outside. There's some more consolidated green bands on the rock on the outside that I haven't got to yet but who knows what that will produce. This is a 16" saw that has the capacity of a 18" saw and even more so than certain ones on the market. I have these in my production shop for sale. I don't care to use this board for a sales pitch I just wanted to show off the saw and mainly get an ID for this rock if possible.

Thanks Daniel. I just shot you an email 15 seconds ago and I was like 'oh like he's not going to see this' lol. There's a lot more slabs left it's a pretty good size chunk, around 7"x10" but not very tall and tapers out a bit. I doubt ill slab it all, want to get to the green band and at least see what it looks like.

Rob, do you already have a customer for that saw, or will you keep this one as a demo model?

Daniel......not yet eventually will. Ebay is really slow right now and im not going to go out and beat the pavement so to speak lol I have 2 helpers working around the house right now and been kinda busy with that.
I'm in the process of getting another one done I really should keep one around lol. Outside of ebay and cash only transactions id let one go for $1200 without a blade. You're certainly welcome to give it a spin sometime. There's no rush I will have more coming.
Boy it's nap time. Was trying to figure out why I was so tired working outside this afternoon and figured it was the heat then realized I had already spent 3 hours running the roto-tiller for the elderly neighbors first thing this am.
I have another rock to post pics of being cut on another one of my saws maybe tonight or tomorrow ill get it on here and you can help id it.

If I had $1200 right now I be carting that saw home Sunday. Maybe next year if I get my taxes straightened out and sell my LS12.
I still need to get my HP 14" up and running.
Whats on you rock pile? I can bring over a 6" boulder of something you don't have.

Thanks for the comments.
Daniel........I don't really know what's on my rock pile lol. I really need to start going thru some of it. So can't really say what I have. For instance im cleaning out the bad dog shed and there's a large tote, a few crates and a trashcan filled to the top with who knows what and that's not including my other stuff in the barn. I've known enough hardcore rockhounds over the years to know 'not' to say it's a huge collection because some of them really are huge like the guy that sold us the HP saws he has an entire storage locker full. I do keep track of stuff that people give me though.
I really just need to whip one out and install it in my insulated area of the barn. When I get that done if you have rocks too big for your saw you could use it whenever you want. I actually have the prototype that has the same inner workings it's just not nearly as eye-catchy and probably be a good one to just abuse it for all it's worth.
If you've never seen the site check out Cigarboxrock.com. They demand premium prices and get it but do really good work. Just mentioning it because they cut the wood vise liners for HPs and Frantoms and mine are shot.
Shotgunner......Depends on how big you wanted it. As of yet im not building bookend vises. I know how I was just waiting until I build 24" and 36" saws. Also if you already have fixed dimensions i'd probably rather avoid that but if you could build the saw around the vise that would be the way to go.
Also keep in mind this is not a full-time endeavor for me at this point in time. These things are a ton of work, not highly profitable for the labor involved so I am just mixing it in with everything else I have going on.
I admit these things are addictive to use lol. I have it running right now. Decided to go ahead and slab up what is left on the crossfeed of the rainbow jasper chunk and post pics later there's several slabs left.

Here is us having a little fun at the creek last night. I am in the middle, my neighbor and good friend Paul is on the right and it's his older brother Gary on the left. Doing what we do best.....drinking beer, guns and 4 wheelers lol. Would've rather had my Henry 44mag but I won't shoot it when I get down to 200 rounds it's too hard to get hold of right now.

Yea, I would definitely build the saw around the vise. Saw target is 24" blade with a 52'ish inch box. Would like the vice to open wide enough for.... what?.... a 14-16" stone?

Hi Shotgunner, most saws with the larger vise on a 24" are around 17" so you're pretty close. I would recomend a bookend type vise for something that large and right now I just couldn't get to it anytime soon I apologize. If this is something that can wait till later down the road then possible.
