You bet, jamesp. Reminiscing. I actually went back to see what some of my old PB photos in old posts were showing. They are not saying "temporarily unavailable" they actually show up. Although on my phone, they do not look blurry. I know they do on the PC. At least, they did last I looked. Damn PB! Long term ramifications. I remember Scott and I giving you crap about Photobucket/flickr. I must also say flickr forced me to pay $50/year after seeing what Photobucket did to it's clients. Got my attention ! I gotta have my photos. Moral of the story - Never trust free !! Especially if you are trusting an entity with something valuable to you. That Photobucket deal messed up a lot of stuff. |

Yes, I remember the teasing I endured for preferring PB over Flickr. You were right, jamesp. The only thing I didn't like about PB was that if you rearranged your photos once you placed them, you broke all your links! I remember Mel Sabre52 doing just that! I now pay Flickr the same $50 a year too, James. And I don't even upload new pics there! That's just so the images already there can stay there and I don't have to fix broken links, Ã la PB fiasco. And they say they are still bleeding money. I see a cost increase in the near future. Our photos still are not safe. |

I think the final answer to images is self hosting.
Get a domain, put WordPress on it, add in a photogallery package and upload all you want. For like $100/year. Bonus! You can blog! Bonus x2 You can set up a woo commerce storefront! Bonus x3 you probably already have the website and WordPress backbone.
