Please do.That's got a glow to it.A fine single color. Are you sure that some of Montana didn't wash down to Texas Mel/Bill?

Here's a blue Texas agate I picked up a few years ago. I just got around to putting some of it in the tumbler last week. It looked like a potatoe when I picked it up. These are the two halfs.

Love the pic of the agate on the river shore. Who said everything in Texas was the biggest? James, I have some agatized pet wood that is clear with black inclusions that look exactly like Montana. Yes, I think it is more common than just Montana. - Mark

OK here's the inside... it's a lot more opaque than I expected and like someone mentioned there's a very light fortification pattern that doesn't show up that well on the photo. It's the same basic color as a blue lace agate as shown in the second photo. The old rockhound said it was a montana but I can't personally attest that it came from there - maybe he collected it in Texas and just forgot.

No telling what mixture may agatize Mark.It is likely that many colors form from many locations. I have seen that glowish blue color fill seams and voids in many places.Geodes, thundereggs, pet wood and many fortified fills.
I would like to find blue agates all day like these.

I found potatoes like that Carlos in Texas. Most had clearish to clearish with a bit of dendrites and/or banding.Never anything w/that fine blue color though.
