The pictures below are what 650+ lbs of rocks look like in the back of my Jeep (as well as a Big Brazilian and a box of some fortification agates) as well as when they are laid out on the floor of my garage. John Rowland (owner of HP) finally got them in from his buy of an Amarillo rock shop and if anyone wants some, give him a call at (512) 970-9092 (yes, he gave me permission to put his number on the forum). I haven't opened the bags up yet but know they are mostly agates and jaspers and my batch can be cut by a 16" blade.

Hmmmm.......I know where I can get 1000lbs for $450 and i'm still complaining about the price lol. Actually it's more like what am I going to do with it I have so many now. Sell slabs maybe. Lot of work in that.

I think the barrels from this HP guy have been reduced to $450, but that is before shipping.
... and 1000lbs at 45cents/lb is good Rob, unless the rock is very low quality. But I agree, if you are not going to cut them up for sale, it is a lot to buy. On the other hand, I bought much more than 1000lbs by getting 60, 80, and 100lbs at a time, and it was just to slake my personal obsessions. LOL. see it, want it.

rocks for days of cutting. Woot! Poor timing though as I'm getting ready to go a two week trip to NM and SW TX (particularly the Woodward Ranch) so I should come back with even more. Oh well, you can never have too much rough!

Gonna visit Jason in New Mexico? It's late in the season to catch grey band kingsnakes! If Jason is anywhere near Albuquerque and wants to go hounding, I hope he lets me know. As far as the snakes, uh, NO!

We are 35 miles south of Albuquerque. Pretty busy this time of year but might be able to fit something in. Not involving snakes like that though. There are plenty of collecting sites around here.

Jason the grey bands are in the corner of the state neat the big bend and then south into mexico. I just like teasing sheltie about snakes, cuz he's my friend! You do have lot's of these. The bands break up going east.

I love kingsnakes. There's an albino-lavender California kingsnake in my daughter's bedroom.
