Now Helen, don't go all wobbly on me. . . All joking aside, thank you. Yes, it is interesting to get a sense of the varied lifestyles of others. It can help one to understand how perspectives and values are formed. (We all are products of our environment to some degree) In my case, I was raised by folks that grew up in a time where a wide skill set and practical knowledge were the currency of life. Even later in life they still much preferred home made everything. I am a hunter/gatherer/ curious George by nature, and have embraced being a life-long student of self-sufficiency. It puts one in a certain sort of harmony with The Good Earth in a way that is hard to put into words.

I have made my living on this farm for over 20 years. Selling plants grown here and collected from all over. I am fortunate and thankful.
