I looked up 'Daddy Long Legs' and the myth that they are poisonous and all i could find is that it is that it is not proven. Here in Louisiana, what I have always heard referred to as 'Daddy Long Legs' are Harvestman. They do not have fangs so can not envenomate. Not sure if they are poisonous if one were to pop them into your mouth and chew em up though...If anyone tries that, by all means let us know if the chewer survived! Watch out for paper wasps, all colors, in the fall. They are getting ready for winter and are testy. They fly near me, I swat them to the ground then step on em.

Polistes Carolina. Got stung by over 50 when i entered a structure and my brother disturbed them. They may hurt more than hornets. The saw palmettos are a favorite place to put their nest. And you best not run in saw palmettos. Mine look just like this, black wings and all orange body. If you made out the colors you are ten stings behind
