There is a whole family of partially silicified coral types so i collected it for testing. One weighed about 50 pounds and it was a massive colony of small corals. Probably 100. Each coral was malformed and has great pattern but boring clearish color. Some needs atomic hammer it is so hard to break. I am guessing it will take a polish. I will get you some out as soon as I unpack Donnie.

This crazy coral was over 100 pounds. I had to roll it. It was many smaller corals grown together. It has no color but great variation. Many of the smaller corals were psuedomorphs. This is really just two of about 80 corals in this apartment building. The 2nd one is the upper right corner where a division line is visible. Some close ups of this slab.Every one of the about 80 corals had crappy silicifications on their south side. In these photos south is the bottom of the photo. South probably was a gravity side-top or bottom.. Too bad this big coral was colorless-a dullard. This is a colorful one with the same lack of silicification(uncooked) And this was a 2 apartment coral. The previous coral had a neighbor before i pried them apart Hope it was good for you

Grizman, Donnie-I have been throwing those off to the side for 15 years. Never thought one bit about how they would look tumbled and cabbed.

James, you just keep teasing us, but I know, patience is at the heart of tumbling.

Can I say it, too? Wow! Since it's not something we all get to see everyday, I doubt that it will ever get boring...

I just typed a 3 page compliment to you Scott and forgot to hit the post button and it is now erased not really.
Thanks for the fully capitalized version. As my French Canadian buddies i worked with in Canada would say ' it has great impac'. They never could get the 't' in that word and it tickled me.

I had to work 6 months in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada and Quebec is right across the river Jean. And the office was mixed Ontario/Quebec'ers and those 2 provinces were not to fond of each other.
Ontario was stuffy white color and Quebec was lawless and party hardy.
Them French Canadians were some real men. They talked funny but they were no one to contend with.
And they really did not like english speaking Canadians at the time. I always flashed American cigs to chill them as they were cool w/Yankees. I got spanked by them in racquetball and i was a contender her in Georgia. They all whipped me. I got em in swimming pool one day and about drowned every one them. Way out of their environment. But i did not want to get out of the pool:)
