I got to go digging Varisicite on a friend's claim recently and I worked for 4 hours with a hammer and chisel to free this egg out of a boulder so I could bring it home and see what was inside of it. I am really glad I did! The egg weighed almost 3 lbs before I cut it. These are all the slabs except for one I gave to the mine owners for letting me tag along. The whole thing (minus 1 slab) (All pics are taken dry!) The slabs individually The mine owners told me it was some of the best Varisicite they have ever seen, sure made me excited! Tony

Really Beautiful stone! Do you have an idea what that sells for?

Really Beautiful stone! Do you have an idea what that sells for? The one slab I gave to the miners, they were offered $150 by the first person they showed it to and they turned it down. They said they are going to face polish it and keep it as a specimen.

That was some work that really paid off. I am thinking that that color would be a good color to paint my pickup. Gorgeous. Jim

Even if this egg is green, I'd call it "the golden egg" Adrian

L.O. Turner of Provo used to have the Lucin Hill mine. He used 4 wheels and a drag bucket attached to his pickup, forward and back, grab the nodules, forward and back. I sold chips of it at 25 cents each at my first rock show stall. That provided most of my $400 pay day!
