Not enough flash to get a sunburn? I got plenty from welding rods and cutting torches. Never tried a plasma cutter.

Kurt and Jim and Pat and Scott like how ugly i am. Feelings hurt, coughing, sick to stomach, abused, need doctor. A plasma cutter is like an ink pen Dave. Nothing like a stick welder. It does not discriminate though, stainless copper brass aluminum zinc. If it is metallic and conducts electricity it will submit.

James, you make an absolutely adorable monster, lol! Especially like the grey whiskers, a nice touch.
What I wanna know, is how can you see through the weld spatter on those goggles? And while I'm asking, when did you have time to cut up all that fencing material? I'm telling you, you work too hard.

With that plasma cutter it takes about 5 seconds to cut any bolt on that fence panel. So i think 10 minutes per panel. times 5 panels. the plasma is very efficient. Easy doin's
That weld splatter was probably from me leaving them under an arc welding spray. I weld upside down and all over from doing structural welding and always have holy clothing. Man, i should wear leather but it's hot here almost like San Diego. have had those little blobs land in the tray formed by the collar bone. Smells like Jamesp steak. We do. We smell like steak cooking. Yes,that is painful.

Cut three of these aliens from the sheet metal cut from the roof of an old Ford van when it was cut out for one of those taller fiberglass roof extensions. I don't know, they just seem cool. Freaked my neighbor out when she saw it swaying to and fro in the wind one evening. Ha! Adlana is NOT hot like here in San Diego. We (for the most part) have dry heat. You have wet heat - no comparison. Leather would be miserable in the humidity, I would think. But you make your choices. Sweating to death, or cooked flesh? (Jamesp steak, lol!) Supposed to get warm today (mid to upper 80s?). It'll cool a little for the weekend, should be real nice out in the desert for the prospecting trip.

Jean, that alien is darling! Good thing it is going to be 81 here today, since Friday is ice cream cone day.

Thanks, Pat. We made three, and gave one to a friend that is "into" aliens. He actually painted it green, and takes it out to the desert when they go and set it up in camp. I think he thinks of it as a decoy, to attract the aliens. Have them come down and pick him up, lol!
Ice cream cone day? Can't remember the last time I had real ice cream. My frozen confections are limited to 15 calorie sugarless popsicles. Better than nothing, I guess. I'd prefer Scott's favorite, Klondike bars, but will take some of those popsicles to the desert with us. Nice to have a regular freezer in my trailer... Coolers with ice just don't cut it for popsicles.

It's worth waiting all week for the ice cream cone! I buy our favorites and make the biggest cone possible. Yum! Not a good idea to do it daily, but once a week is realllllly nice!

I was not sure if you guys were talking about me the alien or the cool yard sculpture. But then i saw where Jean made it. You guys have lots of martians. Was it Roswell that has a community of them?
Will you paint that one green Jean or would that be discriminatory?

James, you were a monster yesterday, not an alien. I like the rustic, rusty look. I'm planning on leaving the remaining two au naturel. Less work (told you I was lazy, lol!) and I don't have to buy paint.
I'm not aware of any green people around here that would take offense to that. Now, it it was a different color... Everyone is so damn sensitive these days.
