Not in that sense, James... And that trip's not until TG.
Had to replace a tire on the trailer after hitting a trash can of ? that fell off someone's trailer the last trip out. It broke a cord inside the front tire on the left when it was hit, and the tire started wearing on the edges badly. Since I pay for road hazard when I buy tires, the new tire cost me all of $14. Thanks, Discount Tires! That's the second or third new one I've gotten that way.

The old (50's and 60's) rock guides all listed Lavic as picked over. There is still plenty of nice rocks around there. You may have to wander around but even in the big flat area where the groups all camp you can find nice material. All in float too.

tntmom - it's jasper from Lavic siding. The locale has been in every gem trails book since Mel was knee high to a tall indian. There is still material there but it is far and wide. I recently sold a few boxes hoping to buy a new blade for my saw. You should see lot's of pixs from different members coming soon. Krystee - here is a link to my report of the trip forum.rocktumblinghobby.com/thread/62592/trip-report-lavic-jasper-2013

Looks like that jasper is well known and well hunted.
I can certainly see why.

James, it's not that long, and not that heavy. I'm afraid that the sun is doing a number on it, though. Hopefully, it doesn't snap when it is needed to pull someone out that was a little overconfident. Perhaps it'll get used this weekend in the Cadys?
And I can think of better things to eat than omelets with tires in them, lol. You are in a good mood, James. Glad to see it.
