Well. We think the whitetail is a miracle animal but what do we have to compare to ! You got to get a good hit on them.
That is a cool piece of info that i like to know. I was watching rutting bucks fighting on youtube and consider the Mule to be just as tough as any white tail.
I know from a 6 month stint in east Canada that moose and bear are 30 30 animals and they all whipped out the 30.06 or 270 for the whitetails. The Canadian hunters all respected the deer's will to survive
Saying that they are hard to kill.
The whitetails are sharing well developed suburbia here in Atlanta. In recent years. Not when i was a kid. Dad see's them around the house i moved out of 35 years ago. That is a new trend. Of course,white oak trees 40 inches thru the stump are putting out enough acorns to feed a herd. Lots of oaks,dog woods,browse,kudzu keeping them happy.They get upset when the shrubs get devoured
