and I completely see your point. I am sort of Green, but not a fanatic. I use Round-up where I have to, I cut lumber every 20 or so years off my place, I even eat meat! But there are always two sides of a (legitimate) coin. And both sides have their points, good and bad.

I began this thread with the FACTS. This con job passed beyond the factual stage long ago. I call it GoreBull warming. The people who want to redistribute our wealth around the globe (while getting rich themselves in the process) are taking advantage of a scientifically dumbed-down populace. Global Warming has now become a religion for True Green Believers. Facts mean nothing in religious discussions. Meanwhile, back at the Propaganda Shop, the tricksters realized there's been no warming for the past 15 years or so. Aware that could become a bit of a problem they switched the name to Climate Change. No matter which way the climate goes now they can blame human activity. Rick |

Back in the 80's when the Global warming/ozone hole thing started the supposed target was some man made chemicals that supposedly depleted ozone my thought was "sounds like BS but these chemicals are pretty nasty so the ends may justify the means". It turned out OK, and a lot of manufacturing processes made some needed improvements. The greenies got their way, right? Their goal was to improve business, not destroy it, right?? Surely they weren't motivated by a hatred of those who produced.
So a few years later the greenies come up with this total BS that carbon, a basic building block of all life on this planet, was somehow the root of all evils on this planet. And that human produced atmospheric carbon emissions, making up 0.117% of the whole, could somehow heat the planet into a desolate wasteland. Cherry picking "data" that supported their hypothesis, and ignoring all relevant historical evidence proving them wrong, they continue to preach their gloom and doom, even as all their predictions fail to come to pass.

Obviously, he does. He tells people what they want to hear, gives them free things, and supports them if they don't want to work. So of course, all those losers will back him.

Yep.......nuff said! “The majority of weather stations used by NOAA to detect climate change temperature signal have been compromised by encroachment of artificial surfaces like concrete, asphalt, and heat sources like air conditioner exhausts,” Anthony Watts, a seasoned meteorologist and lead author of the study, said in a statement Thursday. These “compromised” weather stations run hotter than stations that are well-sited, and are used by NOAA as a benchmark to make upward adjustments for other weather stations that are part of the agency’s official temperature record. Watts and his fellow researchers found only 410 “unperturbed” weather stations out of the 1,218 stations used by NOAA to determine U.S. climate trends. These “unperturbed” stations don’t need to be adjusted by NOAA because they had not been moved, had any equipment changes, or change in the time temperatures were observed. Watts found well-sited stations show significantly less warming than poorly-sited stations from 1979 to 2008 — the time period was chosen in order to respond to NOAA papers from 2009 and 2010 justifying its weather station adjustments. Now, Watts has years of evidence showing NOAA is relying on shoddy weather stations to make its temperature adjustments.
