I really like those, James! Not even going to try to pick a favorite, they are all great. (Well, maybe the fourth and seventh ones )

Being very new to tumbling I thought that everything that went through to the polish stage had to be crevasse free to keep from taking a piece of rough grit into the polish barrel. Are you doing something special to get such fantastic results?

I do not know what to say about that Ann. I just rinse them real good. I tumble a lot of stones w/pockets and little vugs. All done in rotary tumblers. If you ever go for Savannah River Agate you will find grit catching pockets all in it. I was told to pick the grit out but it was a huge job. So i quit. Look at the grit in this tumble: This is the rest of the batch. There was a lot of grit stuck in these but they polished w/a wet shine. You gotta go here if you haven't been. The reds and greens and other accentuated colors are from heat treatment. They are slivers and chips from indian activity and some from forest fires. www.flickr.com/photos/67205364@N06/sets/72157632182662877

Another nice batch, James. The color range in those is amazing. I like # 4, almost spooky looking. Nice turtlebacking showing in the 'troids too!

If toads were made of agate...that's what they'd lay. Sweet agate caviar. Great Job my man! Your corals have been the eye opener of the year!!
