Hello, everyone! Here is a new piece of furniture in our living room. It's not a real creation, as the rocks involved are left as they are. But it is rock related, because it displays a lot of beach pebbles (mostly pet woods from Lesbos Island and also some we picked from USA). Here's the table: The rocks are covered with a 12 mm thick tempered glass. There is a space of 6 cm for the rocks, so we could place in there not only small pebbles but also rather big specimens, as you will see in the following close-ups. The Utah - Arizona corner (with sand from Arches Park): Lesbos island pet woods: Needless to say we selected our best finds to display in that coffe table. Sitting beside this table is a blast, it's a very good and pleasant reminder of the places we've been through to pick all these beauties. Thank you for looking, Adrian

Wow, you just inspired me for a new project. What a great idea! Thanks. The only problem I can see is that people will want to hold them and touch them. But maybe a lifting lid......
Thanks again.
BTW: I guess the gov't will make them rename that island? There used to be a rock along the Columbia Gorge that was pretty aptly called Cock Rock. The gov't changed it to rooster rock. I don't think they understood.

Good to see the outside brought inside in such a pleasing display, many memories there, and likely you see something a little different each time you look at it.

Thank you all for replies. Rich, I didn't do the table by myself. The guys who did the furniture all over our house also made this table, according to my project. It requires really professional tools to come out that way. Ed, I'd give you a helping hand in pushing this table away Mark, I agree they cannot be touched, but neither the dust cannot go in. It's better this way, I think. If occasionaly tou want to lift the glass you can use a vacuum tool for holding large windows. About the Island's name, the Greek name is in fact LesVos. Anyway, they take advantage about the name and legend and each September they organize the ... ladies' meeting from all over the world right in the village we like to go (Skala Eressos). We go there in August usually but still can spot unconventional pairs. Nothing anoying though, they behave/dress pretty well in public. Adrian

Being in a frame like that it really brings order to that collection. Great way to be w/your rocks. And they will stay dust free.

I don't think they understood. Arizona still has the Tonto National Forest. En espaƱol Tonto means stupid. Does this change hpw you think of the Lone Ranger? Adrians, love the rock shadowbox table. Fantastic!
