An oldie but a goodie, Natural Expressions, Inc. Rock shop in Gilbert, AZ is one of Arizona's little known rockshops that should be on everyone's list to visit at least once a month! Located at: 13802 E. Williams Field Rd. , Gilbert, AZ 85295. One block east of Gilbert road, on the north side of Williams Field Road, across from True West Credit Union and Fry's grocery store. They have rough rock, slabs, cabs, geodes, museum quality specimens, $20 and under table, used equipment for sale and more! Open 9am-5pm Monday - Saturday, closed on Sundays. They also have lots of slabs for wire wrappers, do custom cutting and crushing. Been at the same location for 15 years. Fred Thiele is the owner, he can identify rocks when noone else can. Stop in for a look, you'll be glad you did!

Hi Ed,
He has been at the Flagg show for years, usually does not bring much rough, he is the guy who sells the pulverized rock dust. He has a decent selection of rough at the shop, a little pricey though in comparison to Quartzite.

Hi there. for anyone looking for rough rock supplier in AZ, try Madagascar Minerals (aka Norcross) www.madagascarminerals.comthey are in Tucson, and supply most of the larger wholesalers. they will sell retail as well.

He has a decent selection of rough at the shop, a little pricey though in comparison to Quartzite. If you are looking for low grade material, that is what you will pay for. If you want the best quality material for your projects, don't buy it at Quartzite. Fred Thiele, owner of Natural Expressions, Inc. sells only high quality gem grade material. The rough stuff i've seen in quartzite costs more and is of lower quality than I've seen at the rock shop. He will bring rough to you in Quartzite, or any other show location prior to a show if you call him and request what you want.

nicheboxrocks..... Have you ever been to Quartzite? You may want to visit to restock your supplies and get some better quality materiel, then maybe I would not have to drive past your place on the way to Tri-City-Rocks.

There is cheese and cheese that smells bad. I've known Fred for years from many shows we used to do. The rough I've seen at the shows looked high quality. Hiding advertising in sham reviews is low quality and classless. Reminds me of the glowing reviews you see on line where I wonder if the company puts them in itself. Bad boy Fred.

Damn that stung a little and I don't even know what's going on. Ha Here's a recap: The dude niche and the store he reviewed are the same. Reviewing yourself is low class. Before that came out Tim gave honest and politely worded info to Ed. For which he got slammed. I then discovered and revealed the marketing faux pas. About the same time Tim made the post to which you refer. John fills us in with some history and I doubt niche ever climbs out from under his boulder ever again.

I have been thinking about this. I wonder if the owner of the store is completely blind to all this. I wonder if he has an employee ruining his reputation. If this is the case, the store should not have long term repercussions. johnjsgems - or anyone, I wonder if you have the ability to reach out to Fred and see if he is the source of this?

The dude niche and the store he reviewed are the same. Reviewing yourself is low class. Kinda like voting for your own cab in the monthly cab contest. Nice catch Scott. 3 posts and all on the thread "reviewing" this shop. Just coincidence I'm sure!

Niche ID's ?herself? as female. Is Fred actually Frieda? Or perhaps Fred hired a marketing person who "knows all about internet marketing".
Or perhaps the sex change came after the expose'?

Fred has a lady with him at the shows now. Maybe it is her. Can't believe he isn't aware though. Now that we are off the show circuit I don't see him often. I'll see him at the Pow Wow next month though and ask him about it.
