When I read your subject line I first thought you planted the saw just like when we planted Great Grandpa in the back 40. Then I see the picture, and I'm thinking, geez, a grave marker even, this guy's... ah, really into the hobby. Oh, never mind. Now I get it.

Well it was a lot longer winter than we thought it would be but the weather has turned hot lately so we've been keeping a close eye on the saw garden and giving it lots of water. Suddenly this morning we discovered that a beautiful brand-new-refurbished 18" HP had sprung up. It came up hungry - lid open saying "feeeed meeee!"

What an Awesome spring you have!!! That must have been a heck of a fertilizer you used. Where are the slabs? :-)

What an Awesome spring you have!!! That must have been a heck of a fertilizer you used. Where are the slabs? :-) Haha slabs are coming Tim. After we got her installed we had to go on a quest to fill it with oil - I have already bought five gallons from the SCBT website but its been backordered for at least seven days and especially with the holiday tomorrow there's no way we could wait that long. So we found four gallons in stock in a store 35 miles away and are now happily cutting away on the hunk of crazy-lace we found at that shop in Tucson - it's wild stuff inside - lace with sagenite spray type patterns. I'll post a picture after this post. All, we got this saw from Tim - @azrockgeek and we could not be happier ... I don't want to embarrass him but Tim is a good dude. If you have a chance to do business with him don't hesitate. He gave us a great deal on this completely refurbished 18" HP unit then voluntarily drove four hours to California just to shorten our drive to come get it ... and he wouldn't take even a little bit extra money to help cover his gas.

There must be a lot of iron in your soil , the saw sure looks sturdy. How soon do you think it will be a 24?

It is good you planted certified seed instead of some hybrid, looks like it came up straight and strong. Very nice refurb.

Damn Tommy, very nice saw! Cutting those larger rocks is very addictive and you are going to be very busy with that new toy lol. I can't wait to see all your new slabs!
Congratulations!

Yay for us and yay for Tommy!!! I just feel sorry for your neighbors, does your Saw have a curfew? No worries it's pretty quiet - it's right outside my bathroom and I can hardly hear it unless I open the window - but yes I won't run it after the regular noise ordinance hours.

What?! You conformist you! Haha well the saw is on the side of the back yard next to the quiet and polite neighbors so I feel the need to be polite in turn - the other side of the yard the young dude has a rooster he won't get rid of and loud parties all the time. If I could have put the saw on that side I would have - and not thought twice about cutting all night haha.
