I would think somewhere between 10-12 weeks. If this is hammer broken rough then the folks that do all stages in rotary may need at least 8 weeks in stage one? Rules for pre-grinding on wheels are difficult because after tumbling there is no way to tell who did and who didnt do it.
Thanks again Roy! post your info or PM for payment when your ready. Chuck

I am one of those who does all stages in rotary so I'm with Chuck thinking in the 10 to 12 week range. If the group decides to go for a shorter time span I'll either bow out or adjust my methods. After all we're looking for the 10 best and not a whole batch.
If it's paypal only I'll get into this century and sign up. ;-)
Again very generous of you and thanks.

Wish my tumbler was ready to run. I think this is a great idea and will watch this thread with great interest.

That sounds fun. I would be interested. I run a 3 pound tumbler, so I would agree on the 10 to 12 week time frame.

Pre grind will give a time jump but I don't know if it provides a guarantee of better end results. I'll go along with whatever the group decides
I'd say 12 weeks is good to let everyone in on the game.

I wouldn't mind getting in on this even though I'm still tumbling my first batch now. Once everything is sorted out if there is still a box available I'm interested in getting in on this. If not it will fine just seeing what the finished tumbles look like.

If there are more than 15 just drop me - there are a lot of new folks and I want them to get in.
