2 more great days! Did some more misc stuff. I think I will go back and see if I can get a better polish on this without it undercutting. This stuff is really tricky to work! This was a butt end which was a rollercoater of thickness. Made a nice big cab, though. Turkish opal labradorite- much nicer than pictured ellipso bog always cut at least one oj when cabbing a recut of a slabbette of spectrolite- goes from silky black to blue second day- another oj blue ice agate- much more luminescent in person- like the moon. This was a really ugly chunk I picked up- turned out to be quite phenomenal. It's solid- the crack is not a crack. crayola jasper- had some rough which I am almost out of and never see it anymore. nacozari turquoise- a generous gift from tntmom I got a small freeform oval from it. Thank you Krystee! dumortierite- tricky to polish, but I love this stuff. willow creek Hells Canyon freeform. This was a slabbette which I was afraid to preform with the saw, so I ground out a big cab instead. Thanks for looking- I think there were a few more that I missed. I'll be cabbing today with my grandson, too. We have a date for some quality time.

Tela, that rhodo is fantastic color and sparkle! And you say it started out as an ugly chunk? And the Hell's Canyon is very unusual I think. The Willow Creek is terrific too. All of them are terrific! Thanks for showing them.

Hey great looking cabs there! What is the 1st chrysocolla one? Is that from the Ray Mine? I just picked up some that looks very much the same.

Completely insane material makes it impossible to pick a favourite in the lot. Well Ok, it's the spectrolte and the hells canyon, but they are all jaw dropping.

Had that ultra black rind that the good old Argentnian stuff has. I have different bits and pieces of old stock. I love to cut rhodo because it polishes so beautifully and easily. That and I just think it is gorgeous- right up there on my fav list.

All of them are terrific! Thanks for showing them. Thanks Mark, yes the first one really does have a lot of crystalline sparkle, not the second so much. I think they are both Argentinian, but they have different characteristics.
