I finally took the plunge and read this thread that just keeps on coming to the top. Interesting read I must admit. IMHO we are doing here exactly what whomever is benefiting behind the public eye wants us to do. Arguing passionately against each other while turning a blind eye to the real problem. Doesn't matter what party is running the show the string pullers make money r$peing everyone. What is the answer to the problem? Heck I don't even know what the real problem is. I don't have a clue but I do know there is as much blame, fault, bull feces to spread on all of us. I'm convinced my vote doesn't count (even though I still vote). The only thing I do is tell my kids and grand kids to read and listen to everything before you go choosing. The right , the left, the far out and everything in between. Often I find that I've made the wrong choice and then realized I never had a good choice to make. My impact to global warming amounts to nothing compared to third world and China's industrial footprint. Yet I still by crap from Walmart cause I'm cheap that way. Now I forgot my point... I guess that is the point. We've been betrayed and were happy about it all the way to the stocks. Invest in ourselves if it's not too late. That's about all I can throw on the pile for now. Cheers !

All I know is if you run your car with the garage door shut.........you will DIE! The earth has a closed door, so where do the gases go? Look at all of the cars you are bitching at during rush hour and that is in every city in the world. Don't need anyone to tell me that is no good. Breath Deep the air is fine. Climate Warming is a smoke screen for the real problem clean air and water. MJ

Too bad this POS isn’t grazing state* land somewhere. His million dollar theft would be at least two million. On private land, $12.4 million. Typical grazing fees per animal unit (cow and calf)$1.35/month on federal BLM land $16.80/month on private land (average of 11 western states) $2.28 - $150/month on state land $2.28 Arizona $3.19 New Mexico $3.92 - $7 Utah $4.64 Wyoming $5.12 Idaho $6.12 min. Montana $8.34 - $20.83 Oklahoma $10.82 South Dakaota $22.50 - $38 Nebraska $65 - $150 Texas * Nevada doesn’t manage grazing on state land, therefore no fee information.Rich, how much does the Gov. make on the grazing fee's from the turtles? About as much as the profits from the Spotted Owl Custom Cabinet Factory!

Starting to think Helen has come back to haunt us under another new name. Halite is just as long winded as she was. I don't think its Helen, maybe one of her propagandist FB page followers. Since Halite does follow ChineseNinjaHero in his or her's profile. I spent about 3 months on that page. If Helen thinks we treated her badly here. She was mistaken. I finally left because I was tired of being called a racist by a black woman who hates other blacks that don't think the way she does or marry outside the race. I was called the devils spawn, cracker and threatened with Voodoo. Just to name a few.

When in doubt turn to Faux News. Like I said, I'll stick with the courts, law, science, peer reviewed papers, logic, etc. which is all on the left's side in every instance, that is until some tbaggers decide they are going to change the laws or the rules. The reason why those tbaggers want to get the land out of the Feds hands is so they can then sell it off to the Kochs and like so they can come in and frack it, grab the water, etc. A few state politicians are much easier to buy off than US Senators. If you thought rock collecting was tough under the BLM, wait until it is sold off to the Multinationals.
Since all you armchair constitutional scholars "feel" your "opinions" are right, go litigate them for Bundy and see what happens. There's a reason Bundy litigated it himself, because any sane lawyer knows he didn't have a leg to stand on. The courts said so, end of story, pay up or GTFO.
You "raised" cattle in Texas. How's that drought working out for you cattle ranchers out there? How many millions of heads of cattle have disappeared because there's no water? You keep telling yourself there's no climate change. Ranchers are starting to come around. When they abandon your ideology I'm sure you'll stick to your guns(pun intended).
You guys brought this crap up, not me. Every time you do I will smack it down with as much unbaised documentation as I can. It's not hard, just tiring since you guys have abandoned all sanity. Even Wikipedia backs up our arguments. When you start saying NASA is full of it, The Pentagon is full of it, the ESA is full of it, etc. you really have left the reservation and you won't believe anything except for the right wing echo chamber that is made up of millionaires and funded by billionaires who just love freedumb. So, I'll stop trying to convince you for the sake of your families and just refute what you say, point by point.
Happy Easter, bunnies and crosses, and Happy Earth Day the latter of which I put much more stock in. I don't hate any of you, I'd be happy to share a beer and collect some awesome agates anytime, but I have young kids and I will not back down on any of these issues for their sake.

Seems to me that it's the lefties who are changing, or at least bending the laws and rules to fit their greedy needs. OCOMMIE is a very good example.
You just keep drinking that Obama Coolaid, and see how our constitution crumbles under the likes of Ocommie, Reed, Pelosi, etc etc etc.

You keep telling yourself there's no climate change. Nope. I don't think this is the case at all. Neither I nor anybody here believes there is "no climate change". Neither does anybody who watches the weather for a single 24 hour period. Weather change is normal and man can't change normal. I'll say it a different way. Ya can't fix normal. I know the climate is in constant flux and this is WITHOUT man's influence. The weather changes, hourly, daily, seasonally, yearly, by the decade, century and millenia..... common sense and the historical record proves such. Denying this and instead attempting to place the blame on our own species is a complete fail. Anybody who thinks that the climate is changing by man's influence has an ego the size of Jupiter. Man cannot influence the output of the sun. Man cannot change the tides, nor can man change the wind, yet those are the largest factors in what makes up weather. CO2? Meh. There are both positive and negative feedback loops with regard to CO2. CO2 levels are well within historical norms and not likely to leave said range in the next millenia. CO2 is plant food. Increased CO2 means better plant crop production = cheaper food. What's the problem?

Increased CO2 means better plant crop production = cheaper food. What's the problem? More talking points from the right with no peer reviewed data to back it up. Climate and weather are different. This should help the linguistically challenged understand. Seems we have a few who only understand pictures. And again, from Nasa and NOAA those dens of lying vipers:http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/noaa-n/climate/climate_weather.html Yes, it still snows and rains = weather. More or less over long periods of time = climate. CO2 levels are not within the norms of 90% of all species alive today, including humans. They are higher than anytime man has been around and they are rising every year despite the decrease in the solar activity. I can site NOAA, NASA and every other respectable organization in the world all day long. Science is on our side. Man may survive, but it's going to be shitty ride, especially for most other species that can't adapt as quickly, which include plants and insects. Remember without bees to pollinate society would collapse overnight.

Looks like your honey Bee's adapt faster than you think. Who new that the Honey Bee would benefit from the big bad oilman! QMI AGENCY A new Ontario study has found some honey bees are adapting to plastic waste in their environment by incorporating it into their nests. It's not that the bees are accidentally using the plastic. The researchers from the University of Guelph and York University found the insects treat it differently than the plant-based materials they would normally use. The researchers found a grey goo in nest boxes located in Toronto backyards, community gardens, parks and on green roofs. Analysis of the goo revealed the bees were chewing up plastic and spitting it out to help build their nests. "We found two solitary bee species using plastic in place of natural nest building materials, which suggests innovative use of common urban materials," researcher Scott MacIvor said in a press release. The use of plastic didn't interfere with larvae development, and also meant the bees' nests were a barrier to parasites in the area. The study appears in the journal Ecospher modernfarmer.com/2014/03/study-find-bees-learned-recycle-plastic/Even the Hippo's in drought stricken Africa are adapting

Billy love the Hippofrog!
Halite - You are demanding that man is more powerful than the sun.
Can you explain this super power in greater detail? I'd be specially interested in how it came to fruition.

Galileo could relate. "The earth is flat and the universe rotates around me" The new religion of Sociopathy. “Global warming” is an irrational belief whose proponents demonstrate no interest in examining scientific evidence that may prove their beliefs incorrect. As a simple cult, it has failed to progress much beyond the concept of original sin, apocalyptic visions, sumptuary laws, and the selling of indulgences. Wind farms are the temples of this state-sponsored belief system. This cult doesn’t extend to building aged-care homes, hospitals, or anything much for the common good. Instead it degrades the fabric of society by misdirecting human effort. Its true believers can hardly be blamed; the global warming cult is not much different from any of the other end-of-the-world cults that have preceded it.
