There is an artist here in Phoenix that goes out and cuts sections out of old shot up autos from out in the desert and frames them up for sale. Maybe for your wife's next light fixture you need to shoot up some barrels with a .30-06. Just set them on a slow turning lazy Susan and fire away at it. Little hole going in, BIG hole coming out, do this about 40 times per barrel, gunfight at Bora-Bora.

30-06? now wait a minute.
Even cheap handloads are $1 a hole.
Plus the backside exit holes will be dangerously sharp.

Maybe 22 longs would do the job. Sounds like fun though.

The elephant was welded up by me under the direction of a folk artist. She gets credit for that one. Thanks for noticing.

Those stick people, etc started out as a fun thing to do one October some years ago.I got the bright idea of making 1 for each of our family members for Christmas.I wanted each piece to have something to do with each persons likes, hobbies, etc and they all HAD to be finished by Christmas Eve when the family would all be here. I ran into 2 problems. One problem was I was running out of time but the biggest problem was trying to think of a "theme" for our oldest granddaughter who doesn't play any sports or really have any hobbies. There was NO way I was going to hand out 12 of these pieces and slight one of our g'kids!I sat at my bench early Christmas Eve morning(about 4:30) shaking my head and talking out loud to Deina(g'daughter)and praying at the same time trying to figure out what the heck I could make and have it finished that day! By now I was talking to myself (out loud)and said,,,"Deina,,,,all you like to do is shop in malls"! THAT WAS IT,,,,Deina pulling a huge shopping cart into a mall!I scurried around trying to find all the pieces I needed while trying to imagine what this piece should actually look like. I worked my (not so little) butt off that day but it was all worth all my efforts! As I handed out each piece all wrapped up in wrapping paper and saw allllll those wonderful smiles, wide open eyes and everyone saying,,"Look at mine,,,,look at what I got,,,etc",,,I felt as if I had given everyone a little piece of my heart! In my haste to take photos I forgot to put the tiny leather pocket book on "Deinas" right hand,,,,, I did get a shot of the dangle earrings though,,,LOL,,, connrock
