I didn't realize that you had two sphere machines. Either way, it's nice to see you making spheres of any size. Keep posting!

thanks for the roughs photo and the link, gonna go check that out now. It helps so much to see stuff in the form I should be searching for it in. (awk) Huron at the tip of the mitt has a lot of the same stuff as Lake mi, but here in Thunder Bay USA we have not as much of that, mostly fossils. Fortunately it is a short drive north to get to the tip from here... ( we're almost there).

Whoa, that's some great picking where you are. A few of the conglomerates on your Facebook site left me on the edge of my seat breathing hard... wowser! We get conglomerates on the northern top of the mitt, I have found some very interesting and very colorful ones, as well as some breccia and some that are clearly sedimentary which are from tiny breccia or from large grains of sand (but not soft like sandstone, more like the matrix for puddingstone). if we get the septarian nodules they tend to be small-ish or I go to places that have already been picked over pretty well. The spheres are all art... just beautiful.

I love walking Lake MIchigan...very relaxing and great exercise hauling rock! I never know what I'm going to find. I always look for the Lightning Stones, Petoskeys, and nice colored slag, but there is always some unknown rock that catches my eye. Most of the spheres I've kept in my little personal collection are unknown Lake MI rock that I just think look cool. Makes it interesting I guess.
