What a fantastic spot to hound! Great finds, what are those "dino eggs" ? They are agate nodules that were just starting to form. Only the outer "skin" was done before something happened to stop the silification process that was occurring in the pocket of the host rock. Then the host rock eroded away, leaving the "egg".

Enjoyed the photos of your finds. When we first started Rock Hounding it was all about agate then the jasper bug got a hold of us. Nice coloring and it is great to find such a variety. Idaho is just full of surprises! The day jobs do get in the way. So many rocks to find and so little time. lol

Your jaspers look like a pile of autumn leaves. Beautiful! That petrified dino egg is a winner, too. Thanks for the show.

Glad this got bumped back up, I'd somehow missed it before. Some very nice material there.

Thanks everyone. Someday I will hopefully be able to show some finished cabs and jewelry from this stuff. One interesting thing I have found is that the red&yellow stuff doesn't tumble well as the reds and yellows are just a bit softer than the green and tends to undercut. The stuff if very hard (especially the green), but will have to be done on wheels.
