I was bitten by our local green striped centipede. I had about 12 hours of the greatest most agonizing pain I've ever experienced. And I've been shot by shotgun blast at 40 yards.
At midnight my thumb was golf ball sized and the skin very tight. I gave myself 30 minutes to sleep or go to the er. I did that until 2am before I fell asleep. That thumb throbbed for a week. The bulk of the pain was the first 12 hours though.

My fear of them is not unfounded, eh?

My fear of them is not unfounded, eh? No. Your fear is warranted. And my love is really admiration for their extraordinary abilities.

De-boned the lizard. That is pretty wild. Never would of thought that either. Them centipedes are pretty badass creatures. The ones around here are small in comparison. I like the smaller ones.lol

OK- I'm reeeeeeeeeeally, reeeealy sorry that I clicked this link. Spiders, centipedes and scorpions. NO!
Here we have pretty innocuous centipedes. That didn't stop me from involuntarily screeching like a little girl at the top of my lungs when one crawled under my seat at work. I was too creeped out to be embarrassed.
That damn thing you have Mel, would make me faint. I really believe that. Can you say exterminator? EEEEWWWWW!
