I know im fairly new here but recently iv been beating ,banging ,cutting, and collecting for a couple members here and decided I have some extra material . So while im at the post office I might as well grab a extra box to send off somewhere Anyway id like to share some tumble material with someone !! Keep in mind its a odd mix some cut some hard some soft some small n big but all local stuff so ya may have to cut or break some yourself or tumble coarse for a bit in rotary . I would really like if this went to someone who really dont have the means to collect material due to ether location, transportation , or maybe ya just cant get out like you would like to . . So heres how you will get it ..... If you can answer this question !! . Recently I ran short on filler on a vib stage and couldnt get my flow right so I was in a bind as well as a sunday night!! Work schedule would keep me from getting anything for a few days. So my question is what did I use as filler? . You only get one guess !! First to guess right ill ship ya a goodie bag Those of you im sending to already please no guess , and you cant guess ether joe so shhhh!! Please post guess here . Cheers !! Brader .

Ya know iv often wondered about the shot ha ha ha how did it work ? Obviously it was steel right If you're referring to the shot for tumbling jewelry, did a great job.. a little jewelry shine or soapy water.. As for any stones.. I would use the shot as a back up to smooth out a few rough edges.. But seeing how it would contaminate the shot or vice versa.. I started just doing a dry tumble or a pretumble just to round over a few unwanted edges.

adult beverage bottle. Beer, wine, whisky, vodka doesn;t matter. But on Sunday it seems likely any average rockhound will have empties to use for this purpose.

I may qualify ... I can and do get out some, however Illinois has little in good material.
I would guess some cut or broken up dinnerware such as a plate/saucer or coffee cup.
