I finished this piece a while ago but I am just not feeling it. I was, of course, going for something different, but I think it is too different. What do you think?

I really like the way you did the bottom and sides on this one. The top area just takes a minute to get used to since it is so unconventional.

I like it too, definitely different. Love the bottom. I can see how maybe your thinking something is lacking in the top... the bail, but without one it makes it a great men's pendant

Looks great to me. I don't think it is too different. You are thinking outside of the box for sure.

Thanks y'all, I sincerely appreciate it. I have been sitting on this for about a month and a half- I wasn't sure if I should take it apart. I guess I'll list it and see what happens.

Very nice indeed.
What sort of resiliency do you anticipate with the outer run of wire in the wrap? I haven't wrapped anything myself though do a fair amount of wire related work (chainmaille). Just curious what gauge silver and if it runs the risk of deformation with casual wear.

I've done a lot of those outside wires and never had a problem. The bail section is hammered, too.

its pretty cool, definitely list it! I could see this sort of wrap used to hang as decoration on a ladies' bag(think by a strap so it lies over the top flap...) or tied around a bottle or pottery jar at the upper edge near the lip so the pendant becomes a focal accent to the jar, bottle or a basket. Could be used with ribbon, leather strap...wire. sort of like the charms craze, a whole series could be displayed in sequence this way. one would have to choose a bottle or jar with a fairly vertical neck so the pendants would lay well and not stick out. great workmanship as usual and interesting design. bet somebody snaps it up right away! suggestion for another wrap: make a bail on each end so the cab can be used on a hat band or a wrist band?

I don't see anything wrong with it... it suits your style of wrapping, to my eye anyways, and you have done others with the outside wire. I did some too, with a outside heart, back when I started wrapping. I still do them from time to time. If you don't like it send it to me and I will gladly display it with your name on it and forward the orders to you for more similar pieces as they come in!!!

Tela, it is awful and I think it should be sent directly to the outskirts of Idaho (to me) so it is out of mainstream circulation LOL Beautiful piece!!!!!

I'm probably late for the party again but I want to say that I really like it - I've never seen anything you wrapped that I didn't like though so I'm kind of biased haha. The double bails look nice and balanced to me - the one thing my eye catches and says "huh?" is the single wire trailing down the front - my first thought was that it was an untrimmed wire. Thats probably just my right/left brain needing another one on the right side to balance it out or clearly define its purpose. It's a gorgeous piece though, especially the way you have it oriented darkside light side.

It has to be there, but it remains one of the things that bug me about this.

Maybe stick a bead over the end of it? haha that would probably look worse. It's still a beautiful piece and I'm sure it will sell fast.

so why couldn't that "bugging you" wire be centered and bent back behind the cab again to make a sort of prong top and center? would that give you a bit more peace over it? (next time- if it is technically impossible due to the wire length on this one)? Don't give up on this, it is unique and we all like it!

Nothing wrong with it as-for-me ! Very Nice ! The "stray wire" is great to me. The stone draws your eyes to the right side of the cab but the wire moves the eyes back and then take in the whole thing. I reallly like it !

I don't always like everything I make. Sometimes, what's in my head doesn't translate well. I still haven't gotten the nerve to list it, but I will.

I bet if you put in in your shop - it'll sell in a heartbeat! That stray wire is an attention getter and someone is going to fall in love with it
