That's some awesome looking material. Where is this McDermitt at? I might have to incorporate it into a road trip next time we're in Idaho visiting family

Beautiful rocks! We are planning a trip there next month. This is a place you definitely don’t want to lick the rocks. Mercury, lithium, arsenic, etc help give them beautiful colors though. It’s amazing how much variety there is. It’s good to see that a motorhome can make it to the campsite. I’m really hoping they can preserve the loop for rockhounds amidst all the lithium mining. We’re fighting hard to keep the Oregon side free of large scale open pit mining. It uses a huge amount of water that would otherwise go to farmers and ranchers and leaves behind a toxic mess.
