Hi, I've not been around much the last month, but that doesn't mean I haven't been tumbling. Here are some highlights of my latest batch. I have included a 10 pence piece in some photos to show scale. For our friends in the US, this is pretty much the same size as your quarter dollar. Big blue and brown agate: I found this Onyx/Fortification agate whilst on summer holiday, different from my usual finds. It has a flat banded layer on top of the fortification which I didn't manage to capture well in the photo. View of other half Another onyx agate I picked off the beach on holiday... One more onyx I found... Nice one but a bit fractured unfortunately. Eyes Other side of same Another beach collected onyx agate Another view: First view of another Second View Third angle Second view Mossy one One of my favourites, but unfortunately lost a few eyes! Lump of host with mini agates A lovely pair! Not a great photo... Now this is interesting. Rob (Jugglerguy) kindly sent me a whole load of rocks, and included was this piece of rough Unakite. He also included some highly polished tumbles of the same rock. So I polished the rough one he sent, but not suprisingly mine is not a shiny as his. Hat's off to you Rob! This is a piece of Olympic poppy jasper. I found it a challenge as it seems to include different hardnesses of rock. Nice though. Also had a go at Hematite and I'd say I failed here. I put it in with too many other rocks, didn't get a great shine. Will try again another time. Nice one... Small ones Thanks for looking! Ian

I love the eyes too. I just can't get enough of them.
The unakite looks shiny in your picture. When I tumble it, I tumble just unakite with no other rocks mixed in.. I wonder if mixing it with harder agates affected the shine?

You sure get some killer agates over there. Are you pre-grinding before tumbling them or are these all done with just the tumbler? excellent post. thanks for taking the time to post all those photos.

All jewels. great variety. The bands with specs in them are too cool. Certainly you can tell where those specs came from...Scotch bonnet powder ? The ones with eyes are looking. The harder rocks do polish better than the softer when mixed.

A totally enjoyable show, thank you. We looked thru it a couple times, no real favorite. The "nice one" has an absolutely amazing stack of lines.
