That saw has some rather (to me) unique features. 1. They bothered to route the gravity pull line around a pulley so that the weights are at the business end of the saw, not in the back in an inconvenient location like so many others. Easy to adjust, lighten or disable in a hurry. 2. The rails for the vice sled are on each side of the blade (or is there only one on the right?). Having rails on both sides would certainly help prevent the torsion that sleds occasionally experience because they are attached only far to the side of the main force on the specimen/blade. I'm having trouble envisioning how that sled clears the arbor mount on the left. In order to go past it, it must be higher than the mid radius of the blade and hence lose a bit of your cutting depth or am I not envisioning the mechanism? As to tight bolts and screws, aluminum likes to seize with other materials so the antiseize goop or using the right kind of fasteners instead of whatever steel fall in hand are good ideas. Enjoy resurrecting this puppy. Tom
