Dude your new camera is killing it!! Artistic expression from stone to final image. All tools allowing you to maximize effort. You are my hero. Thanks Scott, but it is the jewelry pictures that really show the difference. The colors on the stones are definitely better, though. I must say, my photography time has been cut in half with the DSLR.

At my old work I was placing online ads and needed dozens of images at a time, irregularly. In a month I might need a couple hundred. I left everything set up, put a towel over the camera. So when I needed more pics I just removed the towel and lens cap, plugged in the lap top and turned on the strobes. The software even controlled the shutter for me! I am sure you are doing similar in your time saving sequence. Nice!

Truly beautiful stones! You do our hobby great credit! Thank you for sharing! What on earth is that west coast Picasso? I found somewhat similar material on the Oregon coast a few years ago, that is jasper-hard, but...I have no idea if it truly is jasper or, maybe something else. Anyway, yet another stone with the Picasso moniker attached to it.

I don't think it is a jasper- or at least not a jasper through and through. It does have some variety of hardness. It's a very variable material. I have some which has more light tones and some has lots of orange. Interesting stuff, I really like it.

I have read the Picasso is a Limestone instead of a Jasper, not very hard causing polishing problems......... Excellent group of cabs Tela. I love the variety. 39don

I read up on FB once in awhile but I just don't visit it much. I see the beautiful work you do and it always inspires me. When I finish a cab, I think, would Krystee be happy with this polish?? If not, then I know I need more work. You're the greatest!

Limestone sounds so ho hum for this material. Some of it really is outstanding.

Limestone has a hardness of 3 to 4 which takes a fair polish.

I've been away for the summer, but I made it back just in time for Tela's prizes. It's been used before, but another example of work done by the experts on this site! WOWWWZERS for sure!

I believe both are limestone instead of jasper but most of the Pacific Coast is a bit harder. One can still get PC material that is hard to polish same as with Utah. 39don
