Ah, to be in my 30s again. Well heck, if you can do math you can be any age you want to be. You are not older, you are wiser. What goes around comes around. Pop goes the weasel.
Just trying to add a little humor to a sad day. Opinions may vary.
Hope it is a good one Jean. What would we do without your smile every day? So don't get old, okay. Babble is not always bad, just sometimes. Having a hard time focusing this morning. What were we talking about? ;)Jim

Changed my avatar with a new picture, taken yesterday. (How do you like it, Pat? Same smile, just 46 years later.
Thanks, y'all! I can see I am going to be busy monitoring all of the threads James started.
Mike, Kurt, Roy, Scott, Mark, Pat and Snuffy - this place wouldn't be the same with you all!
Mark, yes that's funny; yes, I am not quite there yet, lol!

Thanks, Mark. No keepers, I caught five or six undersize bass. The real winners were the seals, that would either grab your bait the second it hit the water, leaving you just with a head, or they would wait till you were bringing a fish in, then gut and tear it up before you could land it. Must've had to rebait at least fifty times!
How many times will I have to wash my hands before I get rid rid of that fish bait smell? I heard fresh lemons would cut it, will have to give that a try. Oh, and I had fish scales everywhere! Glad I was using my brother's tackle he had offered, so I didn't have to clean it afterwards, lol!

We had a great day tuna fishing down your way some time back. We took a "sleeper boat" from San Pedro around 11 p.m. and at dawn found ourselves about a mile and a half off the San Onofre power plant. The water was aquamarine-clear and the fishing was great. We caught mostly skipjack but there were a few big yellowfins -- fantastic action!

what's the weather like in San Diego? Heading there this weekend for my sister-in-laws graduation. Hope to get an hr or 2 to go down to Imperial Beach & revisit the old haunts but it's gonna be tight. 10 hr drive each way & have to be back for work on Monday

Oh man, I hope you can handle heat, Karen. It's not too bad down at the beach, so IB should be okay. But especially hot inland, tomorrow will be worse. At noon in Spring Valley, it was 102 degrees, and 3% humidity. At least it's a dry heat, lol.
They are forecasting Santa Ana winds, blowing the hot, dry air from the northeast. It could get gusty at times. Just hope some gull-darned dang fool don't start a fire.
Tight time schedule, hope you can fit everything in, and make it back in time for work on Monday. Yeah, I know what that's like.
