Your cuffs are beautiful! I'm surprised you used 22 gauge copper because I would think it's too thin but if you say so,,,, who am I to argue? LOL
Right now I've been trying to work with copper solder and silver solder and have made a few cuff bracelets and rings just to try different things with them. As far as I know the copper solder only comes in 1 temp so it's difficult to add embellishments without un-soldering something previously soldered. I'm finding that if I use silver solder on embellishments it works but it also leaches out onto the copper where I don't want it to be! The best results I've had with silver solder (so far) are when I "tin" the pieces first and then solder them to the main piece but I really don't think this is the answer to stop solder leaching!Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! LOL
I'll post photos of my 1st attempts of making cuff bracelets in another thread! Thanks again for your help,,,,I need it a LOT! connrock

The copper I have is 24 gauge. It's 1-7/8" wide and it's well over 50 years old.I got it in work in 1965 when we were cleaving out a storage area and my boss told me to "toss" all the copper so I "tossed" it in my trunk! LOL I'm not really sure what it was used for but I suspect it was use for some sort of flashing because it has tar all over it and flashing and tar go together. It's a REAL pain in the neck to work with cuz I have to spend a lot of time cleaning it before I can actually do anything with it but the price is right and it's all I have!
I don't think it would be wise to etch it but I may try it just to see how a light etch looks. connrock
