Hi,
I posted in the cab section that I'm getting my first cabber and asked for advice on practice rocks.
Unclestu advised that I may get someone to sell me saw scraps or mixed rocks to practice.
I have some rocks on order but i prefer to not practice on Ocean Jasper or Laguna Agate.
If anyone has anything they could sell me I would greatly appreciate it.

I would be willing to sell a sfrb full of preforms (huge variety) for $30 including shipping. Not sure how many I can get in a box but I am sure it is a lot. Just another option if you do not have a trim saw. I love to cut but have lost the will to grind and polish.
I will take photos if you would like to see what I have.

Hey Jim and Donnie (saves typing out 2 PMs) IF John passes on your offers, I'd like to take you both up on your boxes of preforms. As wide of a variety as possible. I'm not cabbing yet, but I see it in the near future - *sigh* like I don't have enough bad hobbies! So, maybe a couple boxes of preforms sitting close by will inspire me.
Give John awhile to jump on your offers first, but I'll call dibs if he isn't in the market. Thanks!

I've got enough small slabs, end cuts, left overs, saw breaks, etc to fill a medium rate USFS flat rate box too. Same deal as everyone, $30
Mostly agates and jaspers, a little lace and whatever else I can find lying around the garage.

Captbob, as you say he hasn't bothered to respond to his own request, and that was 2 days ago. AFAIC, the box I offered is yours if you want it. I looked at his posts, and it appears he's just bulking up responses to get to the 50 mark or something.
