Dave, I call them Thunder agates...They are collected in Louisiana and Mississippi ...Not as well known as the Fairburn...But just as nice in most instances...Closely related to Crowley Ridge agate...They are pretty sweet....John

pastel colors in all of them, can't wait to see what you do with them The fossil coral with all the pastel shading is my favorite, but those with forts are awesome, and the poppy, and... and... If I found stuff like this around here, you'd have to rope me and drag me from the beach. Great finds!

Thats some decent color for Louisiana and Mississippi agates! I used to frequest gravel pits and roads in North Louisiana and would occasionally be rewarded with carnelian and small geodes... I also loved finding silicified crinoid stems... I have a whole string of them...
