26F in Atlanta this morning. 4 visiting hunters from Florida out, wind blustery at 20 MPH. Not as cold as you folks, but a shock from last week's short sleeves. Wind for 2 days calming this afternoon and Sat. Deer should be up and in prime rut. Stationed 2 young guys over the the buck zones, they will have climbing stands and should do well. One of them over a buck battle zone, expecting a good buck from that one.

It is a chilly one this morning but it is Minnesota. I lived in Grand Rapids, MN for many years so being up there this is nothing new. I have seen many late winters and many early winters. I think that is how the 'average date' has come about. When I was a youngn and listened to my Grandpa talk about some of the winters and summers he lived through it was hard to believe.............MrP

So it’s November. What’s the big deal? A company I worked for sent me to Sweden. We had dinner w/Vodka naked in a sauna served by ladies. It is just a custom, nothing immoral. Then we walked out in the pool area and broke the ice in the swimming pool, still naked. Bottle of Absolute in tow. I suppose you go into total shock when you jump in that water. Never again for me. It is a common practice there.

Supposed to hit -18F by wed night. You should feel this cold down south by then. We hit 10F. I think a record for mid November in Atlanta. No more bugs, thank you. Fired up the rut, dark nights helping. Hunting group missed the cold, and the hyperactive rut.

Expect a big change this week when this roles down south and east. Unusual for us this warm.

Spent most of the afternoon trying to keep and make artificial ice "outside' while it was warm enough that I could of wore shorts and a shortsleeve shirt this afternoon. The rain was just what i needed last night , managed a very good bond seal for me but turned crappy as the sun kicked in the heat today. See how it turns out tomorrow as the temps fall tonight with snow starting tonight.

We did one time freeze an 8 inch deluxe pizza in at the center ice face off circle one year. LoL You got to have fun sometimes. The Loonie had already been done.

Man you could do stuff w/water turned to ice. Always wondered what the tallest sprayed water ice monument was. I got a smoking well that shoots water 70 feet high out of a garden hose now. i am going to make an ice tower in your honor when we get the hard freeze join on.
