I did pick up one blackskin agate from Monte Lake and that's only because we stopped in there to have a bite to eat. It was laying next to the hwy and the lake and I havent cut it open or posted it. They can get pretty big in some places. That one is still small compared to what can come out of that site.

Thank you Snowmom. I never had enough time to go out jade hunting last week. My friends yard is full of jade cobbles, so he told me to just hunt in the yard. Could not of made it any easier, a very "Good Friend" So I did bring back a few large cobbles and one with chatoyancy, slabs that are dark green that until you get a light behind it, you would think it was black. Also a chunk of muttonfat.

spirit: pictures? That was one of the threads I made yesterday the pics went missing from " jade cobbles". I erased the post after no one was able to see them when it said No Image Available. I can try again Snowmom. I dont get it....some are still posted and some are not. Waiting to see if the other test post pics stay up.

Those agates look like some of the agates that can be found locally, I was lucky to find a few in a riverbed... the rest I got from fellow hounders that can go to the scource.

Very nice finds. Where Ya BC. Did you mean Yale? If you ever want some company on a hounding trip. I would gladly take the long way to my claim at Hixon to have the chance to find something like that.

Thanks Bushman! I try to take my trips during those 3 short months we call summer. This is just a taste of what comes out of the Okanogan area. More pics yet to come.

That is some real clean agate spirit. Interesting stuff. Thanks James Half the time with the nodules, I really have no idea what I'm in for until they get cut open. Another one from the blacks dig and the other nodule from Monty lake. These are found within kms of each others dig sites. I still have to show you some jasper and colored materials.

Are they washed from another location of formed in place. Or a mystery
