Ok,,,,Being a Computer Vegetable and knowing NOTHING about todays technology I just found another site to store my infamous song on for free! rattlehead - put a magnet on that black spray in the calcite. What I read about your fabulous lightening stones is the black is siderite, an iron mineral. With so much iron present, I'd expect an iron mineral - magnetite before a manganese mineral - pyrolusite. Pyrolusite won't be magnetic. Now, that I said that. I dont see any reason why your siderite, might not have magnesite mixed in. In fact there is probably a solution series running from pure siderite to pure magnesite. This making pyrolusite possible! sorry to be so cornfusing.
