Wow, great images, Daniel. Surprisingly, I know what many of them are, lol. (If you stick around long enough, you will learn many things, grasshopper!)
It would be cool to take pics with a super-hi resolution camera, and blow each print up to wall size. Would make some stunning wallpaper.

Those are very nice Daniel! It reminds me of we had a gentleman give the talk at our club last year who had published a coffee-table book - sorry I can't remember the name of it - but it had to do with the "texture" of stones. All super close-ups of agates and such he had collected over time.

You can get upto 20" with 18Mp, but for wall sized I don't know how many MP it would take. One of the most enjoyable and inexpensive books showing lots of rock photographs is "Hidden Beauty" www.amazon.com/Hidden-Beauty-Art-Gemstone-Photography/dp/1560442689/You don't need too much to take pics. Good slabs, a few 6500k lights, and some diffusion material. I used to use a used Canon EOS Rebel (300D), but I wanted to control with the computer, so I got a EOS T5 (1200D) body, also used, and reused the lens.

The way to get ultra large images like Peter lik is to take multiple images over a grid, then stitch them together into one file.
Look into metallic paper face mounted onto acrylic.... For your keepers anyway.
Nice work Daniel. Thanks for sharing.

We have got it down to about $71.50 on an estimate of 15 pieces. A few images are cropped tighter/smaller. Will have to see if it makes any sense to put two into one frame cost-wise.
