Lots of patterns, lots of flowers, and I like all of them. Seems to have more flowers in this batch. Thanks for showing!

Nice stuff, James. My favorite is the third from the bottom. I love the contrast between the white and and the colored parts.

Bryozoans make good pets and coral makes a good home for them.

great looking material and nice job on the tumble. I usually do not rush the 14,000 polish. I always give that a full two days. It may not always need it but I always feel better knowing I didn't rush it.

captbob- Too shiny quartz- Too fast Drummond Island Rocks- Too little patience required Very succinct post with pictures. No expression of your opinion. You satisfied? This vibe is pretty lazy tumble captbob. Add rocks- grit- water to cleaned container, turn on for two days and rocks at that grit done. Two wing nuts and inspect if curious, but this machine runs well on the wet side so it is not finicky at all. Leaves your rotaries free to rough grind. Polish:

Love the rocks in the 6th and last pictures! Great shine on all.
OK, I have a question for Vibe users if you don't mind. I usually do two days on polish, but I rinse clean between each day. Is this necessary/what you folks do or am I wasting grit and losing the effect of the wearing down of the grit to smaller particles?

Is this necessary/what you folks do or am I wasting grit and losing the effect of the wearing down of the grit to smaller particles? Ian That gray material was lodged in the dreaded black muck, it was probably white, then stained by the muck(last two photos). Drummond Island Rocks Chuck just ran a load in 500, and left them in until he had a 14,000 polish. I have left a load in 1000 until they had a wet shine = to 14,000, 4 days, really 3. I was all out of material to tumble this week so I tossed in about a dozen cabs and 3.5 pounds of ceramic filler in the loto. I started this batch in the afternoon on Thanksgiving day in 120 and ran them for 48 hours. On Saturday I did a thorough clean out and put them in 500. After only 48 hours in 500 I was amazed by the shine so now I am skipping 1000 grit and just going to run them for a couple days in polish but I am not even sure if they need it. jamesp - the white one on the bottom is your coral. quick rough grind to get the shape then straight in the vibe. no rotary necessary. after 48 hours in 500 with not polished and not burnished. just rinsed and dried. stay tuned for final closeup photos Chuck
